Billings Junior Hockey Announces Hockey Operations Leadership Staff

Billings Junior Hockey announced the hiring of its hockey operations leadership staff, naming Nick Dreyer as General Manager of Hockey Operations and Steve Haddon as Head Coach. The appointments mark an important step as the organization prepares to begin its inaugural season in Billings, Montana.

General Manager of Hockey Operations

Dreyer enters his sixth season in junior hockey and his 12th season overall as a coach. He began his junior coaching career with the Ogden Mustangs during the club’s inaugural USPHL Premier season in 2020–21, helping the team earn a first-place finish in the Mountain Division. He returned for the 2021–22 season, when the Mustangs posted a 31-13-3-3 record, finished second in the division and achieved a top-10 national ranking.

After the 2021–22 season, Dreyer spent two years as head coach and general manager of the Provo Predators, where he helped build the program and guide its transition into the NCDC. During the 2023–24 season, the Predators finished third in the Mountain Division, advanced to the Mountain Division semifinals and earned a top-10 national ranking.

Steve Haddon

Head Coach

Haddon brings more than 14 years of junior and professional coaching experience and a proven history of developing players. He has coached more than 750 games and helped more than 300 players move on to the NCAA, USHL, U Sports/CIS, BCIHL, ACAC, major junior and professional hockey.

Before coaching, Haddon played nine seasons of professional hockey, including more than 500 professional games with the Colorado Eagles. He is among a small group to have won championships at the junior, collegiate and professional levels.

With Dreyer overseeing hockey operations and Haddon leading the coaching staff, Billings Junior Hockey moves into the next phase of building a competitive, development-focused program. Kevin Greene

Kevin Greene

Majority Owner, Billings Hockey LLC
Kevin Greene is the majority owner of Billings Hockey LLC. Kevin has been the President of the Idaho Falls Chukars Baseball Club since 1993, and has been the President/Owner of the Idaho Falls Spud Kings since its inception in 2022. He is a five-time Pioneer League Executive of the Year and led the Chukars to win the coveted Bob Freitas Award for promotional excellence among all Minor League Baseball teams. The Spud Kings were named NCDC Organization of the Year in their third season of operation.

Originally from Waddington, NY, he has been married to his wife, Bridget, for over 30 years. Together, they have two adult children, Patrick and Kerry.
DG Elmore

DG Elmore

Owner & Chairman, Elmore Companies
D.G. Elmore is a versatile leader holding both legal and M.B.A. degrees. He currently serves as Chairman and Owner of several companies, including Gant Travel Management, Decision Tree Resources, Adams & Westlake, Solution Tree, Velo Vacations, and Cornerstone Information Systems. In addition to his business involvements, D.G. is an active member of the New Horizons Foundation and The Navigators.

An Illinois native, D.G. now makes his home in Bloomington, Indiana, where he is active in community development projects. He and his wife, Gini, have six children.
Erik Hudson

Erik Hudson

General Manager for the Idaho Falls Spud Kings
Erik Hudson currently serves as the General Manager for the Idaho Falls Spud Kings, and the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies. After playing hockey for more than 26 years, Erik turned his passion for the game into his career. During his tenure at the Mountain America Center, he was named a 2022 VenuesNow Next Generation Award winner, and the arena was ranked among the top 200 arenas in the world in its first two years of operation.

In 2025, Erik helped lead the Spud Kings to the Dineen Cup Championship in their third season while also earning NCDC Organization of the Year honors. Originally from Spokane, WA, Erik has been married to his wife, Amanda, for over a decade, and they have two daughters, Jocelyn and Lily.
Paul Henderson

Paul Henderson

GM of Business Operations, Idaho Falls Chukars
Born and raised in Idaho Falls, Paul Henderson has built his life around community, connection, and a passion for sports. Paul started as an intern with the Idaho Falls Chukars in 2008, where he is now the General Manager of Business Operations. He oversees all corporate sales and strategic partnerships and focuses on growth and presence in the community.

Paul also serves as Executive Vice President of Corporate Sales for the Spud Kings, where his leadership has played a pivotal role in the team’s rapid growth and strong community presence. Paul is happily married to his wife, Kim, and they have three children: Piper, Ruby, and Max.
Chris Hall

Chris Hall

GM of Baseball Operations, Idaho Falls Chukars
Chris Hall currently works as the General Manager of Baseball Operations for the Idaho Falls Chukars and Assistant General Manager of the Spud Kings. He oversees the on-field product on the baseball side as well as game operations and promotions for both baseball and hockey.

With a degree in journalism, Chris also leads media relations and communications for the teams, helping the community stay connected with what’s happening on and off the field and ice. Originally from Las Vegas, Chris has been married to his wife, Kendall, for ten years.

Patrick Greene

Assistant GM, Billings Junior Hockey
Patrick Greene serves as Assistant General Manager for Billings Junior Hockey, helping guide the organization as it builds a first-class junior hockey program for the Billings community. Focused on long-term growth, community partnerships, and a fan-first experience, Patrick works closely with the ownership group and hockey operations staff to ensure the team launches with strong standards on and off the ice.

Patrick is passionate about creating an environment where players can develop, families can connect, and Billings can rally around a brand the community is proud to call its own.
